Casting For:
Female Models
Concept: German Expressionism
I'm looking for some models to do some studio
work in the style of German Expressionism. It was period of
art from around 1905-1930 and was characterized by
exaggerated emotional styles and heightened dramatic
settings. Some of the most well known works from
the period were paintings, like Edvard Munch's The Scream.
   
However many were films,
including: Metropolis (Fritz Lang, 1927),
  
Nosferatu (F.W.
Murnau, 1922),
  
And my personal favorite, The
Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (Robert Weine, 1920)
  
Recently, certain directors and
animators have revived the use of the style. Tim Burton is
one example.
I've collected a few images from
photographers that I admire to further clarify the look I'm
after. As you can see, I am very interested in how exactly
women fit into this style.

Casting For:
Blind People
( who are, or wish to become, photographers )
Recently I've been interested in collaborating with some
blind or semi-blind individuals to produce photography. This
could be an educational experience for us both. I obviously
have a lot to learn if I am writing this for blind people to
find on my website. So I guess if you know any blind people,
ask them for me.

Casting For: Male & Female
NON models
Concept: Young people in the armed services
I'm looking for some young U.S. service people who are
interested in having their portrait taken. You will receive
a portrait shoot just like one of my paying clients.
The newly enlisted are welcome as well!
I am building a collection of
these portraits for a non-commercial project. For your time,
you would be compensated with some prints from the shoot and
the digital files.
Note: This shoot will not require you to wear uniform
out of regulation ( or at all ), and will not in any other
way make commentary on the image of the armed services. If you would
like further details, please contact me.

have several concepts that involve working with primates as
photographers. If you have access to chimps, gorillas,

Concept: Drunk, shirtless, and miserable.
The rough concept is as follows:
You drink a glass of liquor to the face, then sit in either
the sun or rain until totally miserable.
At that point, I will throw a bucket of water in your face
and take your picture.
